Counters & Synergies

Countered-by and synergy picks are this site's own reading, based on each hero's kit. What the official app publishes is how often heroes are picked together (see "Frequently Paired With" below); it does not publish any rating of how well they match up.

Frequently Paired With

2-hero team
3-hero team

The figures are the "match rate" published by the official in-game HoK Camp: how often these heroes ended up on the same team (fetched 2026-08-14). It is not a win rate, so a higher number does not mean a stronger pairing.

The order matches the in-game display. The win rate covers matches played with that build, so player skill is mixed in. Taken on 2026-08-25.

Strategy Guide

Playstyle

An executioner whose strikes always crit from behind. Her ultimate's stealth lets her heal while flanking, deleting a backline hero before they see her. She is at her worst in a straight brawl.

Best for: Players who enjoy reading the map, predicting who will be isolated, and treating patience as an investment.

Recommended Combos
Behind Before You Swing
Skill 3 (4s stealth, +40% Movement Speed) → walk around behind the target → Skill 2 (blink, apply mark) → Basic Attack → Skill 1

Attacking cancels stealth, so settle your position before the first hit lands. The Passive guarantees a crit from behind and guarantees no crit from the front. Once stealth breaks you gain 120 (Lvl 1) Physical Attack for 3s, stacked on top of Skill 2's 40% Attack Speed.

Keep the Mark Alive
Skill 2 (apply mark) → Basic Attack → Skill 1 (two hits) → Basic Attack

Every hit on the marked enemy cuts 1s off Skill 2's cooldown and slows them by 25% for 1s. Keep swinging and the blink comes back in time to continue the chase. You also take 30% less damage from that target, so staying on one victim beats switching. Only one enemy can carry the mark at a time.

These combos are not official data. They are this site's own write-up, built only from the skill data transcribed from the in-game display; nothing that the skill text does not state is included.

Strengths
  • Every attack from behind crits — once ahead, she erases backlines in seconds
  • Kills and assists reset all cooldowns, giving explosive chain-kill potential
  • Ultimate's stealth and per-tick healing allow both re-engages and clean exits
  • 30% less damage taken from her marked target makes her surprisingly scrappy in duels
Weaknesses
  • No crits from the front — head-on trades cut her damage in half
  • No hard CC and paper durability; a single stun usually means death
  • Weak until the first kill lands, making it hard to create openings from behind
Early Game Strategy

Arke is a below-average assassin until her first kill, so commit to a clean jungle route from the start. Her Passive grants 20% bonus damage when hitting monsters from the front, so there's no need to circle behind camps while farming. The goal is both buffs and level 4 — unlocking your Ultimate — before the 4-minute Tyrant. Until then, ganks lean entirely on Skill 2's blink with no follow-up mobility, and a failed gank sets your whole game behind, so only touch targets you can actually kill.

Mid Game Strategy

Once the Ultimate is up, stealth approaches out of bushes become your job. The 4-second stealth grants 40% move speed, so path around enemy vision and always open from behind. Arke simply cannot crit from the front, so the extra second spent flanking converts directly into damage. Around 10 minutes, with two crit items done, you can solo the enemy backline, and the kill-resets-all-cooldowns mechanic becomes the engine of your chain kills.

Late Game Strategy

Late-game Arke is all about patience before the first kill. At Shadow Tyrant or Overlord, lurk in a bush, confirm the enemy's stuns and locks have been spent on your teammates, then Ultimate behind their carry. Kill one and every cooldown resets — re-stealth with the healing and line up the second. Dive at the opening horn instead and one piece of CC (crowd control) exposes your paper HP bar. Enemies hugging walls deny your backstab, so pick victims standing in the open.

Teamfight Strategy

Always enter last. Two to three seconds after the enemy's eyes and skills commit to your frontline is your cue. Stealth around the back with the Ultimate, close from behind with Skill 2 to apply the mark, then unload basic attacks and Skill 1. Every hit on the marked target refunds a second of Skill 2's cooldown and you take 30% less damage from them, so tunneling one target down actually keeps you tougher than switching. Once the kill lands, don't stop moving — take your reset skills to the next backline target.
