Summoner Spells That Fit

The reasoning for each is on the summoner spells page. You may only bring one per match, and the best choice shifts with the enemy draft.

Auto-attacks are the damage source, so attack speed and movement speed translate directly into kiting.

Counters & Synergies

Countered-by and synergy picks are this site's own reading, based on each hero's kit. What the official app publishes is how often heroes are picked together (see "Frequently Paired With" below); it does not publish any rating of how well they match up.

Frequently Paired With

3-hero team

The figures are the "match rate" published by the official in-game HoK Camp: how often these heroes ended up on the same team (fetched 2026-08-14). It is not a win rate, so a higher number does not mean a stronger pairing.

Damage
Alessio's Basic Attack fires a shell that deals area damage, plus extra physical damage equal to 0.5% of the target's Health. While he is grounded, the shell can be blocked by enemy heroes.

—Biron chipped in to help fund Alessio's upgraded shells, but even then, Alessio can only use them sparingly.

Alessio throws a smoke bomb, creating a smoke cloud that grants stealth to himself and his teammates for 3.5s. The bomb's explosion sends him into the air, granting him Movement Speed for 0.8s. While airborne, he can move and use Basic Attacks and skills while ignoring terrain. Using Basic Attacks or the Ultimate while airborne causes him to stay airborne longer.
While airborne, Skill 2 will not throw smoke bombs, and Basic Attacks cannot be blocked by enemies.

Alessio leaps into the air, gaining brief crowd control immunity, then locks onto an enemy hero and fires 5 shells at them, with each shell dealing 350 (350 + 80% extra physical attack) (+ 6% of target's lost Health) physical damage to enemies within the explosion's range. If the same target is hit by multiple shells, subsequent shells only deal 25% damage. Only 1 shell can be diverted to another enemy hero other than the locked-on target.

Strategy Guide

Playstyle

A sky-pirate marksman with splash cannonballs and a smoke screen that cloaks his whole team. His aerial missile ultimate executes one named target — carry, trickster, and support in one hat.

Best for: Players bored of orthodox shootouts, weaving tricks and team utility to stay forever off-script.

Recommended Combos
Airborne Full Burst
Skill 1 (load upgraded shells) → Skill 2 (smoke + airborne) → air Basic Attacks → Skill 3 (5 shells)

While airborne he ignores terrain and can still move, attack, and cast. Basic Attacks and Skill 3 used in the air extend his airtime, so shooting keeps him off the ground. Each missile adds 6% of the target's lost Health at Lvl 1, which is why softened targets fall fastest.

Unblockable Air Mode
Skill 3 (leap + missiles) → Skill 2 while airborne → air Basic Attacks

On the ground his shells can be blocked by enemy heroes. Cast in the air, Skill 2 skips the smoke bomb and instead makes Basic Attacks unblockable, so you shoot past the frontline straight into the backline. That is the answer to a tank-stacked comp.

Smokescreen Ambush
Skill 2 (smoke, 3.5s stealth) → Basic Attack from stealth → Skill 1 → 3 enhanced Basic Attacks

The smoke hides teammates as well as Alessio. Drop it ahead of an objective and dump the upgraded shells onto whoever walks in. Enhanced Basic Attacks have a larger area and add physical damage equal to 1% of the target's Health.

These combos are not official data. They are this site's own write-up, built only from the skill data transcribed from the in-game display; nothing that the skill text does not state is included.

Strengths
  • Splash basic attacks with max-HP scaling put real damage into tanks
  • Smoke stealth and airborne movement cover both self-peel and ambushes
  • Airborne shots ignore body-blocking and reach the enemy backline directly
  • Missing-HP scaling on the Ultimate reliably finishes softened targets
Weaknesses
  • With Skill 2 and the Ultimate down he has no escape and melts on the ground
  • Grounded basic attacks get body-blocked by the enemy frontline
  • Another enemy can soak one Ultimate missile, blunting it in brawls
  • The airborne game plan is punished hard by lock-on skills and anti-air CC
Early Game Strategy

Head to the farm lane and aim to have level 4 plus your first attack item before the Tyrant fight at 4:00. Your Passive shells deal splash damage plus bonus damage equal to 0.5% of the target's max Health at level 1, so simply angling shots to clip the enemy marksman through the minion wave wins you trades. The catch: grounded basic attacks can be blocked by enemy heroes, so when their frontline wedges itself in between, take the farm instead. When things get dicey, reach for Skill 2. The smoke cloud stealths you and nearby allies for 3.5 seconds, and the blast carries you airborne — a burst of Movement Speed for 0.8s plus free passage over terrain is enough to break away.

Mid Game Strategy

Between 8 and 10 minutes, with your crit core online, you become the centerpiece of every fight. When rotating to objectives, drop Skill 2's smoke (3.5 seconds of stealth) over your team and the whole rotation vanishes off the enemy's screen — ambushes practically set themselves up. In fights, save Skill 1's three enhanced shells for the moment enemies clump: the bigger splash plus 1% max HP bonus shreds groups. That smoke is your lifeline for both attack and escape, so never burn it just to walk somewhere faster.

Late Game Strategy

By the late game you are the fire source the enemy most wants gone, which is exactly why you stand one step behind your frontline at all times. When someone dives you, Skill 2 into the air and cast your Ultimate while airborne: five missiles rain down under super armor, each adding 6% of the target's missing HP as bonus damage — as a finisher on softened targets, it's as reliable as they come. Another enemy hero can soak exactly one missile for the target, so the moment your mark stands alone is the moment you fire.

Teamfight Strategy

Open from behind your frontline, farming splash damage onto the clump with enhanced shells, and only step up once the enemy's engage tools are spent. If you're already airborne from the Ultimate, recasting Skill 2 in the air trades the smoke for unblockable basic attacks — you shoot straight past the frontline into their carries. Stack missiles onto anything escaping low. Here's a positioning habit worth stealing: place the smoke half a step behind you rather than at your feet, so you vanish right in front of the assassin who just jumped in — the survival difference is night and day.
